The Central Texas Food Bank’s mission is to nourish hungry people and lead the community in the fight against hunger.
Group Service Day
If you haven’t volunteered yet to help sort food at the Central Texas Food Bank, this is your sign. It’s such a fun time to serve alongside your staff and other local organizations, and the help is always needed! This month, our team helped provide over 714 boxes, which translates to 22,848 lbs of food or 19,040 meals.
Group Service Day
We moved, sorted, bagged and tagged! It’s always so fun to be able to see how much we get done at the end of a session. Such a fun day volunteering at the Central Texas Food Bank.
Group Service Day
Nothing better when the whole crew can get together! We had such a special team building day last week spending time serving at the Central Texas Food Bank.
Volunteer Day
Team FVF spent a morning volunteering in the CTFB Kitchen. We helped prepare 1572 meals, washed countless dishes, made pizza dough, and laughed at how silly we looked in hair (and beard!) nets. WE helped support the Summer Meals that Matter program. More Austin area families face hunger during the summer months than any other time of year. Higher utility bills and the absence of free or reduced-price school meals make this a very hard time for families and seniors in our community.
