Kelly Gray joined FVF in January of 2020. Kelly was born in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, but moved to Austin going into her fifth-grade year. After Kelly graduated from Lake Travis High School, she attended Trinity University in San Antonio, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in English. Kelly returned to Austin as soon as she graduated college and worked in lobbying for a little over a year. Ultimately, Kelly decided to pursue her lifelong goal of becoming a lawyer and started law school at Baylor Law School.
As a law student, Kelly received the Dean’s Academic Excellence scholarship award and was on the Dean’s List. She also interned with the Dallas Public Defender’s Office as well as the McClennan County District Attorney’s Office and volunteered for the Mission Waco legal clinic.
After law school, Kelly began practicing personal injury law in San Antonio, Texas. She made her way back to Austin after a year in San Antonio and continued to practice personal injury law in the city where she grew up.
Kelly lives in South Austin and enjoys playing with her dog, Penny, spending time with friends and family, and hiking Austin’s many beautiful trails and greenbelts.
A special message to the friends and potential new clients of FVF Law:
FVF’s client contract has, for a long time, contained the following termination clause: “FVF Law is a values-driven law firm, and because diversity is a value we support, “good cause” [for termination] shall include any expression by the client of intolerance with respect to race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or sexual orientation.”
Now more than ever, FVF recognizes the global need to combat racism proactively, and to do so with more than just words. This firm was built on the mission of being better. Better lawyers. Better advocates. Better people.
We all know being better requires an ongoing commitment to learning, growth, introspection, and change. We enthusiastically embrace that commitment and hereby pledge to do more than just talk about it. Stay tuned on our blog and facebook page for more about what FVF is doing to back this important global effort.
In the meantime, we would respectfully request new clients who find their own views incompatible with this pledge to consider contacting another firm to handle their case. In any case, we invite you to provide honest feedback by emailing email@example.com.
