HAAM provides affordable healthcare for low-income, working musicians in the Austin area with a focus on prevention and wellness. Like HAAM, FVF believes live music is one of Austin’s valuable resources and we are proud to support the work HAAM does to keep Austin musicians healthy and rocking.
FVF employees were given the day off to volunteer at HAAM events throughout the community. The whole team came together in the evening at the FVF sponsored showcase at ABGBs featuring Tomar & the FCs, KP and the Boom Boom, ICING, and Zack Morgan and Friends. Director of Marketing, Caitlyn Macaluso, served on the HAAM Day 2019 planning committee.
This unique event gives Austin professionals the opportunity to live and perform like a rock star for a good cause. Competing bands are made of talented employees from Austin based businesses who perform for a panel of celebrity and music industry judges to decide who rocks the hardest. FVF proudly sponsored the t-shirts for this event that raised. $156,000 was raised for HAAM at the 2019 event.
FVF started our relationship with HAAM with HAAM DAY 2018. FVF employees were given the day off to volunteer at HAAM events throughout the community. The whole team came together in the evening at the FVF sponsored showcase at ABGBs featuring Superfonicos, Saul Paul, and Shy Beast.
FVF Founder Aaron Von Flatern has been a member of HAAM’s Pearl Society since 2018. The Pearl Society’s mission is to bring awareness to the need for Austin musicians to have access to affordable healthcare services and how HAAM makes that possible.
A special message to the friends and potential new clients of FVF Law:
FVF’s client contract has, for a long time, contained the following termination clause: “FVF Law is a values-driven law firm, and because diversity is a value we support, “good cause” [for termination] shall include any expression by the client of intolerance with respect to race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or sexual orientation.”
Now more than ever, FVF recognizes the global need to combat racism proactively, and to do so with more than just words. This firm was built on the mission of being better. Better lawyers. Better advocates. Better people.
We all know being better requires an ongoing commitment to learning, growth, introspection, and change. We enthusiastically embrace that commitment and hereby pledge to do more than just talk about it. Stay tuned on our blog and facebook page for more about what FVF is doing to back this important global effort.
In the meantime, we would respectfully request new clients who find their own views incompatible with this pledge to consider contacting another firm to handle their case. In any case, we invite you to provide honest feedback by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
